Verbascum nigrum var. album is a striking, upright perennial that brings long-lasting summer colour, vertical interest and soft elegance to borders and wildlife-friendly gardens. This attractive variety produces tall, slender spires of pure white flowers with contrasting purple stamens from early to late summer. The blooms rise above a tidy rosette of deep green foliage.
Hardy, low-maintenance and drought-tolerant once established, this Verbascum is a valuable addition to cottage gardens, wildlife-friendly planting schemes, or sunny mixed borders, where it attracts bees and other pollinators. A reliable performer, it adds structure, movement, and colour with minimal fuss.
June - October flowering. Thrives in full sun and any well-drained garden soil. Height & spread: 90-120cm x 30-45cm (36-48 x 12-18 ins)
