A sophisticated addition to any shaded garden, Tiarella 'Iron Butterfly' is prized for its deeply incised, palmate foliage. Each lime-green leaf features a dramatic, dark chocolate-purple central marking, providing exceptional ground cover and visual interest throughout the season. In late spring and early summer, slender stems rise above the foliage, carrying airy wands of fragrant, pale pink-to-white starry flowers.

This hardy, clump-forming perennial is a perfect choice for woodland borders, shaded containers, or underplanting larger shrubs.

May-July flowering. Thrives in partial to full shade and moist, well-drained soil. Height & spread: 30cm x 30cm (12" x 12").

As perishable goods, live plants cannot be returned.

Peat-free plant

This plant has been grown in peat-free compost. The compost we use at Barnsdale Gardens is mainly wood-based, mixed with some coir, with an eight to nine months slow-release fertiliser added. We have been using this compost to pot all the plants we grow for over ten years.
