A timeless cottage garden classic, Scabiosa caucasica 'Perfecta Blue' is highly prized for its large, elegant blooms and exceptionally long flowering season. From June right through to October, it produces a continuous abundance of large, frilled, lavender-blue flower heads, each featuring a neat pincushion centre held high on tall, wiry stems.
The striking blooms rise above a tidy mound of narrow, grey-green foliage, creating an airy texture that is a favourite for mixed borders. Fully hardy and easy to grow, this robust perennial is a magnet for bees and butterflies. It thrives in full sun and well-drained, lime-rich soil, and makes a superb, long-lasting cut flower.
Summer-Autumn flowering. Best in a sunny position in well-drained, neutral to alkaline soil. Height & spread: 60cm x 60cm (24" x 24").
