A compact and heavy-flowering powerhouse, Rudbeckia fulgida 'Little Goldstar' brings a spectacular burst of late-season colour to the garden. From mid-summer right through to autumn, it is smothered in an abundance of star-like, rich golden-yellow daisies, each perfectly offset by a prominent, dark chocolate-brown central cone.

Unlike older, taller varieties, this dwarf perennial stands upright on sturdy, well-branched stems that require no staking. Its neat, mounded habit and dark green foliage make it perfect for front-of-border planting or patio containers. Fully hardy and drought-tolerant once established, it  and is a magnet for bees and butterflies.

July-October flowering. Drought tolerant. Best in full sun in well-drained soil. Height & spread: 50cm x 40cm (20" x 16").

As perishable goods, live plants cannot be returned.

Peat-free plant

This plant has been grown in peat-free compost. The compost we use at Barnsdale Gardens is mainly wood-based, mixed with some coir, with an eight to nine months slow-release fertiliser added. We have been using this compost to pot all the plants we grow for over ten years.
