Although it does bear fairly inconspicuous, dark purple, honey-scented flowers, it is primarily grown as a foliage plant. A compact shrub with the small, variegated, green and gold leaves contrasting beautifully with the black stems. Excellent for flower arranging, Can be grown in a container or in the border.
