Kniphofia ‘Ice Queen’ is an elegant, refined Red Hot Poker, producing tall spires of green-tipped, creamy white flowers above neat mounds of arching, narrow foliage. One of the palest varieties available, it brings a cool, luminous presence to sunny borders.
Flowering in late summer, it adds height, movement and distinctive architectural interest. Hardy and easy to grow, ‘Ice Queen’ makes a striking choice for coastal gardens, prairie-style planting, or mixed perennial displays.
July-October flowering. Grows best in full sun or light shade in any well-drained soil. Height & spread: 150cm x 55cm (59" x 22").

As perishable goods, live plants cannot be returned.

Peat-free plant
This plant has been grown in peat-free compost. The compost we use at Barnsdale Gardens is mainly wood-based, mixed with some coir, with an eight to nine months slow-release fertiliser added. We have been using this compost to pot all the plants we grow for over ten years.
