Hemerocallis 'Chicago Apache' is a striking daylily, producing bold, velvety, crimson-red flowers with gently ruffled petals and a golden-yellow throat. Blooming from midsummer into early autumn, its large, trumpet-shaped flowers appear in succession, ensuring weeks of vibrant colour. The arching, strap-like green foliage provides an attractive backdrop, even when not in bloom.
Hardy, reliable and low maintenance, Hemerocallis 'Chicago Apache' is perfect for mixed borders, cottage gardens, or as a statement in containers, it is also excellent for attracting pollinators.
June-September flowering. Grows best in sun or partial shade in any well-drained soil. Height & spread: 60cm x 45cm (24" x 18").

As perishable goods, live plants cannot be returned.

Peat-free plant
This plant has been grown in peat-free compost. The compost we use at Barnsdale Gardens is mainly wood-based, mixed with some coir, with an eight to nine months slow-release fertiliser added. We have been using this compost to pot all the plants we grow for over ten years.
