Digitalis purpurea 'Snow Thimble' is an elegant, pure white foxglove, perfect for adding height and grace to cottage gardens and shaded borders. This biennial variety produces tall spires of unspotted, tubular blooms, attracting bees and other pollinators throughout June to September.
Easy to grow, a spring mulch and occasional watering in dry spells will support healthy growth. Ideal for wildlife-friendly planting schemes, 'Snow Thimble' makes a striking vertical accent in both traditional and naturalistic garden designs.
All parts of this plant are toxic to both humans and pets. Wear gloves and take care when handling.
Summer flowering. Grows best in partial shade but will tolerate full sun in moist, well-drained soil. Height & spread: 110cm x 40cm (40" x 16").

Peat-free plant
This plant has been grown in peat-free compost. The compost we use at Barnsdale Gardens is mainly wood-based, mixed with some coir, with an eight to nine months slow-release fertiliser added. We have been using this compost to pot all the plants we grow for over ten years.
