The leafy spikes of Digitalis ferruginea arise from a good basal rosette of green leaves each terminating in many brownish-red flower heads. Parts of this plant are considered poisonous.
July flowering. Biennial. Will grow in sun or semi-shade in most garden soils. Height & spread: 180cm x 45cm (6' x 18").
