Dahlia 'Mystic Illusion' pairs striking dark, almost black foliage with vibrant, sunshine-yellow blooms that shine from midsummer well into autumn. This tall, elegant cultivar is ideal for the middle of a sunny border, where its long-lasting single flowers provide colour just as other plants begin to fade. Highly attractive to bees and butterflies, it also makes an excellent cut flower for cheerful late-summer arrangements.
Low-maintenance and full of impact, this dahlia is perfect for adding contrast, structure, and pollinator appeal to both contemporary and traditional garden schemes.
July-October flowering. Half-hardy perennial. Requires a sunny position in moist, well-drained soil. Height & spread: 120cm x 60cm (48" x 24").

As perishable goods, live plants cannot be returned.

Peat-free plant
This plant has been grown in peat-free compost. The compost we use at Barnsdale Gardens is mainly wood-based, mixed with some coir, with an eight to nine months slow-release fertiliser added. We have been using this compost to pot all the plants we grow for over ten years.
