Carex ‘Silver Sceptre’ is an elegant, low-maintenance sedge valued for its striking variegated foliage. Slim green leaves edged with clean silver-white create a bright, cascading effect, bringing year-round interest to borders, containers, and shaded areas.
This compact, semi-evergreen grass is ideal for softening paths or adding texture to mixed planting schemes. Hardy and easy to grow, it offers reliable structure and subtle movement throughout the seasons.
Summer flowering. Grows best in sem-shade in moist, well-drained soil. Height & spread: 30cm x 45cm (12" x 18").

Live plants require proper preparation for shipment, specialist packing and courier services and as such may be subject to delay of up to twelve working days, to ensure the quality of your item.

As perishable goods, live plants cannot be returned.

Peat-free plant
This plant has been grown in peat-free compost. The compost we use at Barnsdale Gardens is mainly wood-based, mixed with some coir, with an eight to nine months slow-release fertiliser added. We have been using this compost to pot all the plants we grow for over ten years.
