Calycanthus ‘Venus’ (Carolina allspice) is a handsome, deciduous shrub valued for its exceptionally fragrant, magnolia-like flowers. From May, large creamy-white blooms with elegant strap-shaped petals and striking purple and yellow centres appear, repeating intermittently through summer and into autumn. The glossy mid-green foliage forms a dense, rounded shrub, turning warm golden tones in autumn. Ideal for mixed borders or as a specimen plant.
Calycanthus ‘Venus’ brings scent, structure and long-lasting interest to UK gardens. Also produces an edible and delicious spice.
May-September flowering. Prefers full sun but will tolerate partial shade and moist, well-drained soil. Height and spread: 1.8 x 1.5m (6' x 5').

As perishable goods, live plants cannot be returned.
