A tireless performer from South Africa, Anisodontea capensis is a slender, semi-evergreen shrub loved for its exceptionally long flowering season. From late spring right through to the first frosts—and often beyond in mild winters—it is smothered in a profusion of delicate, hibiscus-like pink flowers with darker magenta veins.
Its upright, airy habit makes it an elegant choice for sunny borders or large patio containers. While it thrives in a sheltered, south-facing spot with well-drained soil, its constant floral display and attractive lobed foliage make it a sophisticated addition to any Mediterranean-style garden.
Summer to Autumn flowering. Evergreen sub-shrub. Best in a sheltered, sunny and well drained position. Height & spread: 100cm x 100cm (39" x 39").

As perishable goods, live plants cannot be returned.

Peat-free plant
This plant has been grown in peat-free compost. The compost we use at Barnsdale Gardens is mainly wood-based, mixed with some coir, with an eight to nine months slow-release fertiliser added. We have been using this compost to pot all the plants we grow for over ten years.
