Actaea simplex 'Black Negligee' is a stunning plant with the dark purple, almost black, foliage giving all season interest and then throughout the summer these leaves are topped by spikes of white flowers.
July-September flowering. Will grow in sun or semi-shade in most garden soils. Height & spread: 90cm x 60cm-90cm (36" x 24"-36").

As perishable goods, live plants cannot be returned.

Peat-free plant
This plant has been grown in peat-free compost. The compost we use at Barnsdale Gardens is mainly wood-based, mixed with some coir, with an eight to nine months slow-release fertiliser added. We have been using this compost to pot all the plants we grow for over ten years.
