Hemerocallis ‘Sammy Russell’ is a striking late-summer daylily, producing masses of deep red blooms with vibrant yellow throats in late summer. This hardy, herbaceous perennial adds rich colour to borders, complementing other warm-toned plants such as Rudbeckia and Helenium. Ideal for sunny or partially shaded positions, it thrives in both garden beds and containers. The attractive, trumpet-shaped flowers are also excellent for cutting, bringing seasonal brightness indoors.
Easy to grow and low-maintenance, ‘Sammy Russell’ provides a bold splash of colour when many other perennials are past their peak.
August-September flowering. Prefers full sun or partial shade and well drained soil. Height & spread: 60cm x 60cm (24" x 24").

As perishable goods, live plants cannot be returned.

Peat-free plant
This plant has been grown in peat-free compost. The compost we use at Barnsdale Gardens is mainly wood-based, mixed with some coir, with an eight to nine months slow-release fertiliser added. We have been using this compost to pot all the plants we grow for over ten years.
