Widely considered one of the finest blue cranesbills available, Geranium 'Orion' is a vigorous and prolific hardy perennial. From early to mid-summer, it is smothered in exceptionally large, cup-shaped flowers of a vibrant violet-blue, delicately detailed with fine dark veins and a radiant white eye.

The deeply lobed, mid-green foliage provides a lush backdrop and often takes on fiery orange-red tones in the autumn. This RHS Award of Garden Merit winner is a favourite for filling gaps in sunny or partially shaded borders, offering superb weed suppression and a reliable nectar source for bees.

June-August flowering. Will grow in sun or semi-shade in most soils. Height & spread: 60cm x 60cm (24" x 24").

As perishable goods, live plants cannot be returned.

Peat-free plant

This plant has been grown in peat-free compost. The compost we use at Barnsdale Gardens is mainly wood-based, mixed with some coir, with an eight to nine months slow-release fertiliser added. We have been using this compost to pot all the plants we grow for over ten years.
