A vigorous climber, this viticella Clematis produces a mass of flattish, rich claret-red flowers that are 12cm (5 ins) in width, with each having very noticeable cream anthers.
Late summer-autumn flowering. Grows in sun or shade and is great for growing through large shrubs or trees. 3m-4m x 1.5m (10'-12' x 5').
